to be clear if your answer to “who are you without constant media consumption or during times when you are not watching tv or playing video games” is “i’m not sure” or “it’s really hard for me and difficult and painful but i am trying to learn how to exist in my body without constant escapism” or “no i can’t bear it actually” you aren’t giving me a ‘bad’ answer and i’m not judging you for that. your answer as sincere and personal as it is is really none of my business, and i understand that the question can be really challenging - the idea alone can be challenging, especially in today’s climate - but i think it’s important to ask yourself these questions anyway, and to be honest with yourself, to ask yourself difficult questions and give them time to sink in, and you aren’t obligated to share your answers with anyone

Would you be in favor of creating a Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion committee? Why or why not? I see no reason creating another committee would help anything in light of the continued staffing issues, and see several ways it could hurt. Lumping nonwhite, and non-English-speaking, and non-American volunteers together in one committee is just tokenism with a bow on top. Those experiences are not singular or universal. The DEI consultant to be hired by the organization will be able to speak to this far better than I can.
The cost of becoming a member/voting in elections is prohibitive for many users, particularly disabled, international and POC ones. Do you have any ideas about how this could be improved to make the otw more inclusive and less privileged? No.

Yeah, no, heads up, we’ve got a Republican Christian Karen type, Audrey Richards, running for the AO3/OTW board. I love how the US has devolved to the point where we risk Christofascists in our fucking GAY FANFICTION WEBSITES. I think a Republican party candidate whose main platform is literally “think of the children” is the absolute antithesis of everything AO3 stands for, but that’s just me.

So IDK if people will understand this concept but I made “corner pins”
Basically they are tiny pins with TWO posts on them, and you use them to hold up mementos like instax/photos/tickets etc without having to puncture them, and without having to pinch them with the metal or the push pin edge etc. You can simply rest the corner of the item between the posts gently!
